Health and Health Care Research

Admits Fall term. Deadline for M.S. inquiries is March 1, however contacting the program to express interest is best done in the Fall, prior to the term you wish to be enrolled. The HHCR program is a one year master’s degree program designed for scholars who have been admitted to the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation (IHPI) Clinician Scholars program (part of the National Clinician Scholars Program – NCSP). A limited number of eligible clinicians (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and dentists) are also allowed to enroll in the program; class size is limited to 20. Applicants must contact the Director of the HHCR program to express their interest in the program and have a mentor from their department contact the Director to discuss the applicant. The applicant will receive an e-mail from the Director in regard to their admission status in late March.

Admission: The HHCR program is a one year master's degree program designed for clinicians who have been admitted to the IHPI Clinician Scholars Program. Minimum Number of Credits Required: 32 credit hours.

Specific Course Requirements: A minimum of 32 credit hours is required for the M.S. degree: 16 credits taken fall term; 16 credits taken winter term.

Thesis or Research Project: None.

Final Examination: Students take a midterm and final exam each term.
